David Yates on Afghanistan
David was asked by the Newbury Weekly News: Were you against the war in Afghanistan? Has your perspective changed? If so, why? What is your opinion of the current situation?
All along we should have had a policy of non-intervention in the sovereign affairs of another state. The world would be a much safer place if we all minded our own business a bit more often. We are told that we are fighting the threat of terrorism, but really we are pouring fuel on the fire.
The only obvious thing to do is to bring our boys and girls home today. Troops out now.
